The S3700 series is a new generation of 10GE aggregation switches introduced by BDCOM. It is targeted at MAN (Metropolitan Area Network), campus networks and enterprise networks. It is developed on the basis of high-performance hardware and BDROS, a software platform with BDCOM's own independent intellectual property rights. It supports multiple services such as IPv6, MPLS, VPN and network security based on L2 / L3 / L4 wire-speed switching service. It also supports uninterruptible upgrade, continuous forwarding, graceful restart and redundancy protection.

The S3700 series virtualizes multiple physical devices into one. The performance, reliability and management capabilities of the virtual system combine to outperform those of individual physical devices.

BVSS makes full use of each link in the physical device group, which avoids STP blocking on the links and protects the original link to the maximum extent possible.
High reliability
Based on the advanced distribution mechanism and efficient physical cross-link aggregation function, the logical control plane, service control plane and service data plane are separated. Therefore, the S3700 series supports continuous layer 3 routing forwarding, which avoids service interruption as a result of a single point of failure.

BVSS performs single IP management, which greatly improves network efficiency and reduces operating costs.

Based on HPS (Hitless Protection System), key components of the S3700 series, such as the power module, support dual backup, hot-swapping and seamless downtime switchover without manual intervention

The S3700 series supports ISSU (in-service software upgrade), BFD mechanism and Ethernet OAM mechanism, 802.3ah, 802.1ag and ITU-Y.1731.
High reliability (99.999%): the MTTR of the S3700 series is 50 ms, satisfying the requirement for reliable service delivery at the operator level.
