The PowerGrid 9172PoE, with ITU-T G.hn and IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, provides up to 15 W power output and better quality data transmission for high-speed networking to easily turn on a PoE-enabled device such as an IP Surveillance camera. It allows users to extend a local area network via existing power lines, eliminating the need for extra wiring, with no additional power supply required for Powered Device (PD). Installation at home (or in a small office) is quick and easy as the PowerGrid 9172PoE comes with plug-and-play technology.
The PowerGrid 9172PoE supports Multiple Input/Multiple Output (MIMO) operation based on G.9963. It can be used with two fully programmable reception and transmission paths to attain the best data throughput. The PowerGrid 9172PoE comes pre-programmed allowing easy installation / configuration and it features secure end-to-end encryption algorithms for safeguarding the network integrity.

Supports ITU-T G.9963 G.hn baseband plans MIMO 50MHz techniques for powerline throughput up to 800 Mbps PHY rate with Robust Communication Mode (RCM) to prevent noise interference from other home appliances.
High Speed Data Transmission
High speed (up to 1 Gbps Phy Rate) dramatically increases the performance of next-generation home entertainment applications such as multiple high definition (HD) TV over IP (IPTV), 3DTV streaming and VoIP, digital video recorder (DVR) networking and media center servers.
Built-in IEEE 802.3af power supply: No Extra Wires Needed
Local area network and PSE powering can be extended and eliminated via the power line network and an Ethernet cable.
