The AP offers up to 4 spatial streams and a built-in directional antenna, with an access speed of up to 2.4Gbps per AP, as well as 802.11a / b / g / g / n / ac and 802.11ax compatibility. RG-AP680 (CD) supports switching between FAT/FIT mode, offers 1 SFP port and 1 10/100/1000M port with PoE/local power supply. Taking into account wireless network security, RF control, mobile access, QoS, seamless roaming and other important factors, the AP partners with the Ruijie RG-WS series of wireless controllers to provide access control, security and Wi-Fi user data forwarding.
RG-AP680 (CD) adopts IP68 protection design for the cabinet, which is suitable for application in extreme indoor and outdoor environments. It can withstand extreme weather and other environmental conditions, which greatly reduces the difficulty of installation and maintenance. Equipped with built-in directional antenna, the RG-AP680 (CD) can achieve Wi-Fi coverage in the vast majority of scenarios. Multi-hop and point-to-multipoint bridging functions are also supported to further enhance deployment flexibility.
Tasa de accesoHigh-speed access rate 1024-QAM
RG-AP680 (CD) adopts 802.11ax dual band dual radio design with up to 4 spatial streams and built-in directional antenna. The first radio offers up to 0.575Gbps access rate at 2.4G and supports switching to 5G with up to 1.2Gbps access rate, while the second radio offers up to 1.2Gbps access rate at 5G. The AP offers a maximum wireless access rate of 2.4Gbps. 2.4G + 5G is recommended, which offers an access rate of 1.775Gbps.
OFDMA high-density user access
RG-AP680 (CD) supports 802.11ax OFDMA, which divides the WLAN channel into several narrower sub-channels, with each user occupying one or more sub-channels. By scheduling multiple users to simultaneously receive and send packets through the AP, user competition and backhaul can be reduced, which reduces network latency and improves network efficiency.
Spatial reuse with BSS Color
RG-AP680 (CD) supports spatial reuse with 802.11ax Basic Service Set (BSS) color to identify the BSSs of different WLANs in the network by different colors (BSS color) and divide them into internal (BSS belonging to the device) and external BSS. Different thresholds for receiving and sending packets can be maintained. When receiving packets, the BSS coloring is used to quickly identify the external BSS packet. If the signal strength is less than the receive threshold of the external BSS, the packet will be ignored. The transmission of internal BSS packets will not be affected.
This technology can implement channel reuse in a high-density scenario, which greatly reduces the impact of co-channel interference for the actual network deployment.
Smart device recognition
The AP supports smart device recognition, which can identify PCs and smart mobile terminals, including iOS and Android.
Energy-saving design
RG-AP680 (CD) adopts several advanced power-saving features, including single antenna standby technology, dynamic MIMO power-saving technology, enhanced transmission technology with automatic power saving, and packet power control technology. Together with the high-performance power supply design, RG-AP680 (CD) enables high-speed wireless access with 802.3af power supply, ensuring maximum signal coverage.
Industry-leading local forwarding technology
By employing Ruijie's intelligent local forwarding technology, RG-AP680 (CD) eliminates the traffic bottleneck of wireless access controllers. When deployed with the Ruijie RG-WS series of wireless controllers, users can flexibly configure the data forwarding mode for RG-AP680 (CD). The AP also controls whether data will be forwarded through the wireless controller according to the user's SSID or VLAN, or sent directly to the wired network for data exchange.
Abundant QoS policies
RG-AP680 (CD) supports a wide variety of QoS policies. For example, it provides WLAN/AP/STA-based bandwidth constraints that prioritize the transmission of important and critical data over others to guarantee bandwidth.
With multicast-to-unicast technology, RG-AP680 (CD) solves the problem of video delay due to packet loss or high latency in the wireless network, and greatly improves the user experience of wireless network multicast video services.
User data encryption
RG-AP680 (CD) offers comprehensive data security protection with encryption technologies such as WEP, TKIP and AES, ensuring the security of wireless network data transmission.
Standard CAPWAP encryption
RG-AP680 (CD) communicates with Ruijie RG-WS series wireless controllers via standard CAPWAP tunnel encryption, ensuring data security during transmission.
RF Safety
In collaboration with RG-SNC Smart Network Commander and Ruijie's RG-WS wireless controllers, the RG-AP680 (CD) enables the RF probe scanning mechanism to detect rogue access points or other sources of RF interference. Once detected, the AP will alert the network administrator to monitor potential threats and usage status in the wireless environment.
Easy-to-use multiple authentication modes
RG-AP680 (CD) supports web authentication and 802.1X client authentication to monitor users' online behavior, and provides customers with convenient guest authentication via SMS and QR code according to the actual scenario.
For SMS authentication, when guests access the wireless network, the authentication page will appear. Guests can register with their cell phone numbers and access the network using the account password in the received SMS.
QR code authentication is another way to make it easier for visitors to access the Internet. After accessing a wireless network, guests will obtain a QR code on their end devices and simply ask any authorized personnel to scan it to access the network. Guests' online behavior is directly associated with the authorizing personnel, providing enhanced security.
ARP spoofing protection
The ARP detection function effectively suppresses the phenomenon of ARP gateway spoofing and ARP host spoofing in the network, and ensures users' normal Internet access. Automatic binding can be achieved for both dynamic and static IP assignment, which greatly reduces manpower and management costs. The ARP rate limit function allows you to limit the rate of ARP packets to prevent malicious use of scanning tools to perform ARP flooding that occupies network bandwidth and causes a congestion attack on the network.
Flexible switching between FAT/ FIT (Stand-Alone/Controller) modes
RG-AP680 (CD) supports flexible switching between FAT and FIT modes. Zero configuration deployment can be realized in FIT mode, and comprehensive remote management also greatly improves the efficiency of wireless network operation, maintenance and management.
Comprehensive remote management
RG-WS wireless controllers can remotely and centrally manage AP operations such as channel, power, SSID configuration, security configuration and VLAN splitting of the RG-AP680 (CD) at any position in the network, which simplifies wireless network management, centralizes management and improves the security and management efficiency of the wireless network.
Web administration interface
The CA web management interface provided by the RG-AP680 (CD) not only facilitates wireless configuration, but also enables the overall operation of the wireless network. The CA web interface can not only manage the AP, but also manage the users connected to the AP. It can limit the user's speed and restrict the user's connection to the network. This makes wireless network planning and maintenance easier for network administrators.
Bluetooth serial port for easy maintenance
RG-AP680 (CD) supports switching between Bluetooth serial port and iBeacon. If the default setting is Bluetooth serial port, when equipment failure occurs, the administrator can manage the device through the cell phone without climbing the pole to reach the device.
