Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor wireless access point, dual band and triple radio selectable (5G + 5G + 2.4G), up to 10 total spatial streams and maximum wireless throughput of 6.817Gbps , 3 ports 10/100/1000BASE-T, integrated BLE, support PoE and PoE out; Includes Ruijie Cloud Service lifetime license.
RG-AP850-I (V2) is Ruijie's next-generation ultra-high performance enterprise Wi-Fi 6 access point designed for high-density indoor scenarios. With the integrated IoT module, enterprise users can be prepared for future IoT expansion to boost operational efficiency and customer experience. The Ruijie RG-AP850-I(V2) supports triple concurrent dual-band radio, up to 10 total spatial streams and a maximum wireless throughput of 6.817Gbps.
Leveraging OFDMA Wi-Fi 6 modulation, MU-MIMO and BSS spatial reuse, the RG-AP850-I(V2) ensures minimal signal interference and a maximum of 1536 client connections. In addition, the RG-AP850-I (V2) provides three Ethernet ports with wired access capability, including two Gigabit Uplink ports and one LAN port for external IoT sensor connection with PoE (passive) output function. All Ruijie enterprise Aps support hybrid management mode. Whether deployed as standalone AP (Fat mode) or managed AP (Fit mode), the AP will detect the operation mode automatically without additional effort in firmware upgrade. For increased security and operation, we recommend enterprise customers to choose one of the following wireless controller options based on functionality and capacity:
Hybrid cloud: RG-WS6000 series wireless controller (on-premises) plus cloud management (optional): designed for enterprise offices and campuses with single or multi-site and high-density AP deployment. Controller devices are installed at the customer site with fully integrated wireless management and authentication functionality, supporting up to 5000 APs per cluster. Optionally, the cloud management platform enables value-added features such as centralized device configuration and monitoring, AI radio (RF) optimization, reporting, etc.
Private cloud: RG-MACC software controller: targeted at ISP / MSP, government or multinational corporation (MNC) with diverse customer sites and demand for integration of their billing, portal and security systems. The RG-MACC supports unified device management, not only for wireless access points, but also switches and gateways.
Wi-Fi 6 technology
High-speed 1024 QAM access
The RG-AP850-I (V2) adopts the triple-radio dual-band design. With the next-generation 802.11ax, if the triple radio is enabled at the same time, the high-speed Wi-Fi can reach 6.817Gbps, delivering the true high-speed experience.
High-density OFDMA user access
RG-AP850-I (V2) supports 802.11ax OFDMA, which divides the WLAN channel into a plurality of narrower sub-channels, with each user occupying one or more sub-channels. By scheduling multiple users to simultaneously receive and send packets through the AP, user competition and backhaul can be reduced, which reduces network latency and improves network efficiency. In a high-density deployment environment, the average rate per user increases to four times that of 802.11ac.
Spatial reuse with BSS Color
The RG-AP850-I (V2) supports spatial reuse with 802.11ax Basic Service Set (BSS) color to identify the BSSs of different WLANs in the network by different colors (BSS color) and divide them into internal and external BSSs. Different thresholds for receiving and sending packets can be maintained. When receiving packets, the BSS coloring is used to quickly identify the packet from the external BSS. If the signal strength is less than the receive threshold of the external BSS, the packet will be ignored. The transmission of the internal BSS packet will not be affected. This technology can implement channel reuse in a high density scenario, greatly reducing the impact of co-channel interference for the actual network deployment.
TWT (target wake-up time)
Target wake-up time (TWT) is used to help minimize contention between clients and reduce the amount of time a client in power-saving mode stays awake. Power consumption is reduced by up to 70% of battery consumption, thus improving battery life.
AI wireless optimization
Ruijie WIS is an AI-based intelligent services platform designed for WiFi optimization in the cloud. Seamlessly integrated with Ruijie's on-premises AC hardware, it helps optimize WiFi deployment planning, handover testing and performance diagnostics. With WIS you can achieve:
- Cloud-based site survey for deployment planning.
- Intelligent mobile applications for provisioning
- Visualize the user experience.
- One-click WiFi optimization
- and it's FREE!
One-click WISπ optimization
Another key feature of Ruijie WIS is that WISπ provides one-click optimization by using artificial intelligence-based automatic machine learning correlation based on real-time information collected from your WiFi network. It actually optimizes the entire WiFi network performance by providing the most suitable configuration fine-tuning with just one click. Industry-leading local forwarding technology.
By employing industry-leading local forwarding technology, the RG-AP850-I (V2) breaks the traffic bottleneck limitation of wireless controllers. In collaboration with the RG-WS series of wireless controllers, users can flexibly preconfigure the data forwarding mode for RG-AP850-I (V2). The AP also controls whether data will be forwarded through the wireless controller according to the user's SSID or VLAN, or sent directly to the wired network for data exchange. Local forwarding technology can classify and forward delay-sensitive data requiring real-time transmission over the wired network to greatly alleviate traffic pressure on wireless controllers and better meet the high-traffic transmission requirements of the 802.11ax network.
Rich QoS features
The RG-AP850-I (V2) supports a wide variety of QoS policies. For example, it provides WLAN/AP/STA and Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) based bandwidth constraints that define different priorities for different service data. The RG-AP850-I (V2) realizes timely and quantitative audio and video transmission, and ensures smooth operation of multimedia applications. With multicast-to-unicast technology, the RG-AP850-I (V2) solves the problem of video delay due to packet loss or high latency in the wireless network, and greatly improves the user experience of wireless network multicast video services.
Comprehensive security protection
Secure user access
Simple and effective wireless security practice
All users in a WLAN share traditional pre-shared keys (PSK), which creates a potential risk of PSK leakage. Ruijie Personal PSK (PPSK) is an easy-to-configure wireless authentication method with enterprise-level security. Credentials can be created and revoked individually. Each PPSK can also be linked to a unique user/device. With PPSK, you can enjoy the benefits of:
- High security by using different passwords for each user and device for individual SSIDs.
- Simple deployment with batch account creation
- Ease of use, offering the same experience as WPA / WPA2-PSK
- CA-ready feature
- No additional authentication required
Virtual AP technology
With virtual AP technology, the RG-AP850-I (V2) supports up to 48 ESSIDs. The network administrator can separately encrypt and isolate VLANs or subnets of the same SSID, thus enabling the specified authentication mode and encryption mechanism for each SSID.
Comprehensive wireless protection
Together with the RG-WS6000 or RG-MACC series wireless controllers, the RG-AP850-I(V2) offers a wide range of security functions including WIDS (Wireless Intrusion Detection System), RF interference tracking, unauthorized AP containment, anti-ARP spoofing, DHCP Protection and more for comprehensive security protection.
Flexible management options
All Ruijie enterprise APs support hybrid management mode. Whether deployed as standalone AP (Fat mode) or managed AP (Fit and MACC mode), the AP will detect the operation mode automatically without additional effort in firmware upgrade. For increased security and operation, we recommend enterprise customers to choose one of the following wireless controller options, depending on functionality and capability:
Web management interface and CLI.
The RG-AP850-I(V2) provides web and command line interface (CLI) for the AP and wireless controller, suitable for application in different scenarios. The CLI design allows network professionals to perform quick troubleshooting, import or modify configurations in bulk. The web GUI management should be perfect for most general scenarios to plan, operate and maintain the wireless network without customization.
(PoE+ and power adapters are sold separately).
