Tycon's battery charge controller has a dual input that allows charging from PoE or a second source such as solar panels to provide redundancy and ensure 100% uptime.

Solar input can accept currents up to 10A. PoE input up to 2.5A. It has an integrated PoE injector converter connected to a 48V and 0.375A output. It also has a 12V and 1.5A wired output. It has protections against short-circuit, reverse polarity, overloading or over-discharging of the battery.

It has an integrated over-discharge and low-power protector to improve battery utilization and extend battery life.

It has five LED indicators to give visibility to the statuses. If the battery is charging, it specifies whether it is being charged by PoE or solar system. As soon as the load says if it is supplying power and warns if the polarity is negative.

The battery and solar system are connected through 4 12AWG type wired terminals. The PoE ports are RJ45.

The controller can be controlled through an external fuse.
