Ruijie, leader in technology for innovation, is the base in the "Urban Xenet Project" at Cullera with its WiFi 6 connectivity solution.

Every day we value more and more arriving at a destination and having Wifi or a secure and fast connection network, which allows us to work or share moments through the network. Today we want to communicate a case of success managed in Landatel Communications and that is being a success.

This project consists in a WiFi 6 infrastructure developed by the Xenet at Cullera together with the support of Landatel Comunicaciones, which allows neighbors and visitors to enjoy high quality coverage throughout the area in a secure, reliable and economical way, providing this city with another step towards its intelligent transformation. It is called Urban Xenet.

This WiFi 6 infrastructure project is being developed at Cullera, east cost of Spain. 

This solution is composed by:

Outdoor Access Points RG-AP680(CD) with an IP68 housing, which guarantees robustness and efficiency for an environment where there are high temperatures, salinity and humidity caused by the sea. The environment in which this solution has been developed is complicated. At the moment, there are 150 access points and the solution continues to be expanded within the municipality.

Wireless Controllers WS6008 installed in the network, this controller allows them to have a fast and efficient management of any failure or technical incident that may arise. A controller for 160 access points, which will be expanded when the solution is extended.

Interview with Xenet

A few months after implementing the URBAN-XENET service we wanted to talk to our client. Xenet is a Spanish company with extensive experience in the telecommunications sector and had long had an idea for a project they wanted to develop in their area. Finally, they have been able to develop it thanks to a Wifi 6 network, with Ruijie devices, a Chinese brand distributed by Landatel Communications.

After a few months with the solution operational, we were able to talk to Nico, manager of Xenet, to tell us how this Wifi 6 solution was working: 

“Well, the idea of generating a WiFi 6 network in an environment such as the municipality of Cullera, was something that we had been thinking for a long time. The most complicated task was to choose the right technology to put in practice. A lot of trial and error, until we found the right equipment to allow us ti deploy successfully our plan”.

"For us it has been quite a challenge. We are mainly proud of two things, once the project has been developed. First, knowing that our idea was right and that the implementation of the equipment has been a success. Keep in mind that a coastal city has conditions in which these devices suffer a lot. And secondly, that this idea was the result of a human team, which has been able to persist in the idea and with great effort to make their idea come true, implementing a Wifi 6 solution in a complete environment".

Xenet has developed, implemented and managed this solution with Ruijie's Wifi 6 devices. Nico commented, "The solution has a load balancing that is controlled by the AC. All the development of this solution and its structure makes the customer has a maximum connection quality, so no matter the type of content you are watching or looking for, as it plays perfectly tantp 4K and HD and the solution can handle very heavy content. In fact, we can highlight that we have had more than 15,000 simultaneous connections with maximum quality of service in all of them and for a period of time exceeding 2h" Nico told us.

A great success for Xenet, which continues to expand and improve this solution in Cullera and future locations.
