Mikrotik L009UiGS-RM - L009UiGS in Desktop/1U rack enclosure with RouterOS L5
L009 is more than just a router. This product line is up to 4 times faster than RB2011, features a modern ARM CPU with container support, an innovative enclosure that allows mounting up to four routers in a single 1U space, more RAM, PoE and support for 2.5G SFP. This version comes with 1U rackmount accessories.
The legendary RB2011 product line has provided affordable, flexible and robust connectivity for more than a decade. In fact, it was the first router with SFP. Finally, it's time for an upgrade. But don't worry: All the key elements and features of the beloved RB2011 have been maintained and improved.
There are three main reasons for choosing the L009: better performance, more features and some interesting quality of life improvements.
L009 features a powerful dual-core ARM CPU. It offers significant improvements in routing and filtering, complex firewall rules, IPsec hardware encryption and several advanced RouterOS features. The ARM CPU architecture provides significant advantages over older MIPS-based devices. Like using all the latest Linux kernel features. Or implement your own container projects. The combination of a modern ARM CPU and a full size USB port is perfect for running custom container projects. You could run a Pi-hole ad blocker on this router, for example. Or you could use the USB to add an LTE modem of your choice. Imagination is the real limit here.
L009 is up to 4 times faster than RB2011 in most cases and configurations, from simple fast path routing to complex bridge filters.
All ports are now Gigabit Ethernet ports. There is PoE input on the first port. You can use it instead of the DC connector to power the unit. And there is PoE-Out* on the last port, to power other devices. Another useful addition is an SFP cage that supports Gigabit and 2.5 Gigabit connectivity. A variety of MikroTik SFP modules and cables have been tested that support higher speeds: the 2.5G capability makes the sysadmin's life much easier; there is a console port for quick, direct-access configuration!
At the heart of it all is a fast Marvell Peridot Switchchip chip that offers an impressive 2.5 Gigabit full duplex connection to the CPU on all ports except Ether1. The first port has its own full duplex Gigabit line to the CPU.
The case acts as a huge heat sink, protecting your configurations from overheating. And it comes, with everything you need to fit up to four of these routers in a single 1U rackmount space.
