Soptos 10G SFP+ transceivers are multipurpose optical modules for 10 Gbit/s data transmission applications at 850 nm, 1310 nm and 1550 nm. The transceivers are ideal for data communication and storage area network (SAN/NAS) applications based on IEEE 802.3ae and Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel 10G, 8.5G, 4.25G, 2.125G, 1.0625G, 10G BASE-LRM/SR/IR/LR/ER/ZR, Ethernet 1000 Base-SX standards. Sopto supplies OEM service and third party compatible fiber optic transceivers (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Dell, etc.).
This 850 nm VCSEL 10Gigabit SFP+ 10Gigabit SFP+ transceiver is designed to transmit and receive optical data over 50/125 μm or 62.5/125 μm multimode optical fiber.

The electrical interface of the SFP+ SR module complies with SFI electrical specifications. The transmitter input impedance and receiver output impedance is 100 ohms differential. The data lines are internally AC coupled.
The module provides differential termination and reduces differential conversion to common mode for quality signal termination and low EMI. SFI typically operates over 200 mm of enhanced FR4 material or up to about 150 m of standard FR4 with a connector.
