Improved noise immunity
The PrismStation 5AC directs RF energy into a tighter beamwidth using one of these compatible antennas:

By focusing in one direction, the PrismStation 5AC filters out noise. This feature is especially important in RF saturated areas.
Modular design: The interchangeable antenna allows better adaptation to specific deployment conditions.
Scalability: Horn antennas allow co-location without sacrificing gain.
Horn-5-30 and Horn-5-45 symmetrical horn antennae: Horn-5-45.
Single beam performance and excellent co-location characteristics allow for higher sector density than traditional technology in the industry.
Enhanced co-location: Horn-5-60 and Horn-5-90° asymmetrical horn antennas offer the best front-to-back ratio in the industry.
Asymmetrical horn antennas are ideal for sectoral cluster installations with high co-location requirements.
Extended Performance: The U-OMT-Dish dish antenna offers excellent beam directivity with 27 dBi gain. It can be paired with the PrismStation 5AC to extend radio performance for a larger number of WISP clients.
Providing high performance and an innovative form factor, the PrismStation 5AC is versatile and cost-effective to deploy. It also features ESD protection for surge protection.

Technology
Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti's Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) AirMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using predefined time intervals programmed by an intelligent AP controller.
This time-slot method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency, so airMAX technology provides performance improvements in latency, noise immunity, scalability and throughput compared to other outdoor systems in its class.

Superior performance
Next-generation airMAX ac technology enhances the advantages of our patented TDMA protocol.
Ubiquiti's airMAX engine with custom IC dramatically improves the latency and scalability of the TDMA network. The custom silicon provides hardware acceleration capabilities to the airMAX scheduler to support the high data rates and dense modulation used in airMAX ac technology.
Performance discovery
AirMAX ac supports high data rates, which require dense modulation: 256QAM - a significant increase from 64QAM, which is used in airMAX.
Using airMAX ac technology, airMAX ac products support up to 450 Mbps of real TCP/IP throughput - up to three times the throughput of standard airMAX products.

U Mobile App
The PrismStation 5AC integrates a separate Wi-Fi radio for quick and easy setup with your mobile device.
The U®Mobile app provides instant accessibility to the airOS configuration interface and can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play™ (Android). U Mobile allows you to configure, set up and manage the PrismStation 5AC and offers several configuration options once connected or logged in.
Advanced RF analysis
The airMAX ac devices feature a multi radio architecture to power a revolutionary RF analysis engine.
A separate processor in the PCBA powers a second dedicated radio that persistently analyzes the entire 5 GHz spectrum and every received symbol to provide you with the industry's most advanced RF analysis.
Real-time reporting
AirOS 8 displays the following RF information:
- Persistent RF error vector magnitude (EVM) constellation constellation graphs
- Histograms Carrier to Interference Plus Noise Ratio (CINR)
- Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) time series plots
Spectral analysis
AirView allows you to identify noise signatures and plan your networks to minimize noise interference. AirView performs the following functions:
- Constantly monitors ambient noise
- Collects energy data points in real-time spectral views
- Helps optimize channel selection, network design and wireless performance.
AirView runs in the background without disabling the wireless link, so there are no network interruptions.
In airView, there are three spectral views, each representing different data.
- Cascade Aggregate energy collected for each frequency
- Waveform Aggregate energy collected
- Ambient noise level Background noise energy is displayed as a function of frequency.
AirView provides powerful spectrum analyzer functionality, eliminating the need to rent or purchase additional equipment to perform site surveys.
