Ubiquiti Rocket LTU
LTU PtMP base station, 600+ Mbps, up to 64 clients per AP and 2+ Mpps
Ubiquiti introduces the LTU Rocket®, the first point-to-multipoint (PtMP) Radio Base Station in the LTU™ product family. Operating on the 5 GHz frequency, the LTU Rocket is a spectrally efficient and noise-resistant PtMP AP designed specifically for wireless ISPs (WISPs).
Superior performance
LTU is a new patented technology with silicon and radio design that overcomes 802.11 Wi-Fi limitations. This allows the Rocket LTU to deliver superior performance to 802.11 Wi-Fi based airMAX equipment.
The Rocket LTU is designed for WISPs that go the extra mile with their core communications, this processing engine enables low latency, long range capability, DFS flexibility, greater constellation, better output power and improved receive sensitivity.
Perfect compatibility
The Rocket LTU is designed to be combined with a variety of Ubiquiti antennas to suit the needs of each installation. The radio includes a mounting bracket that allows it to be used with a 5 GHz Sector AirMAX® antenna or Omni AirMAX antenna for a PtMP Base Station. You can even pair three LTU Rocket radios with 3 airPrism® 5 GHz x30° HD sector antennas for co-location deployments.
The Rocket LTU also works with any CPE from the LTU family, such as the LTU-Pro.
Channel width flexibility allows frequency configurations with independent TX and RX channels anywhere within the radio band to avoid local interference.
local interference.
Channel width options include:
- 10 MHz
- 20 MHz
- 30 MHz
- 40 MHz
- 50 MHz
- Up to 100 MHz
Automatic power settings
By default, the Auto Output Power * option allows the Rocket LTU to adjust the output power (PIRE) to the appropriate level.
Frequency division
Rocket LTU can use different frequencies for TX and RX to avoid interference.
Signal control
The target TX output power of the Rocket LTU controls the performance of each station.
A PtMP network can manage signal levels to improve network stability and achieve an optimal wireless connection.
Performance with the highest possible modulation.
Convenient configuration
To manage the Rocket LTU, you have two options: the LTU configuration interface and the Ubiquiti Network Management System (UNMS ™). Either option allows you to manually configure the Rocket LTU.
Rocket LTU can also be used to automatically configure stations Each station, use the Find My AP feature to search for the AP that uses the same channel bandwidth, select the appropriate Rocket LTU and then use it to configure the station.
Built-in GPS
Built-in GPS improves synchronization and allows you to view the map and Fresnel zone on the dashboard.
LTU configuration interface
PtMP control panel, the dashboard offers map views and Fresnel zones* so you can visualize the network.
The map view shows your PtMP links overlaid on a geographical map, while the Fresnel view shows the calculated link for your selected CPE, including line of sight, first Fresnel zone and 60% Clear Zone.
Real-time spectral analysis
The airView® spectral analysis runs on a dedicated system and stand-alone receiver, which has an excellent EVM (Error Vector Magnitude).
The receiver can also perform other tasks, such as channel occupancy search, DFS detection and automatic channel/frequency assignment Calibration (signal level measurement
accuracy) and enhanced bandwidth resolution options.
Spectral zoom (user-defined scan limits) is also available.
LTU is a completely new platform based on proprietary technology, which does not use the 802.11 protocol, so it is incompatible with 802.11 and 802.11ac devices. For that reason, it is NOT compatible with airMAX M5 and airMAX 5AC. The Rocket LTU is compatible with AirMax antennas.
On the other hand, although LTU is based on airFiber technology, it uses a different protocol for communication, which makes it incompatible with other 5 GHz airFiber products such as AF-5X or AF-5/5U.
Compatible airMax antennas AMO-5G10, AMO-5G13, AM-5G16-120, AM-5G17-90, AM-M-V5G-Ti, AM-5G19-120, AM-5G20-90, AM-V5G-Ti, AM-5AC21-60, AM-5AC22-45, AP-5AC-90-HD.
The main features of the LTU Rocket include:
- 600+ Mbps PtMP throughput1
- Up to 64 client connections per AP2
- 2+ million pps
- Patented RF filtering
